Dana Branzei joins the CRC1430

The CRC1430 is excited to annouce the association of Dr. Dana Branzei, a renowned expert in the field of DNA damage repair and chromosome structure. Dana's work focuses on uncovering the functions of the Chl1 helicase and its roles in both endogenous replication and upon acute DNA damage, with emphasis on DNA damage tolerance and sister chromatid cohesion. The goal is to elucidate how replisome-associated factors, such as Chl1, regulate cell cycle transitions. To achieve this goal her group employs a combination of yeast genetics and molecular biology techniques.
