Humbolt-Professorship 2025 for Dr. Dana Branzei

In a festive ceremony in Berlin, RAR Professor Dana Branzei received the Alexander von Humboldt Research Professorship from the Federal Minister for Research and Education, Cem Özdemir. Together with her, five other prizewinners were awarded the most highly endowed international research prize in Germany. Dana Branzei has headed the Department of Biological and Genomic Treatment Approaches in the Research Center One Health at the Faculty of Biology at UDE since April 1, 2025. A UDE delegation consisting of Rector Barbara Albert, Chancellor Ulf Richter, Vice-Rector for Research Astrid Westendorf, Research Center One Health Founding Director Bernd Sures and the Dean of the Faculty of Biology Stefan Westermann celebrated with her.
