Dr. Anssi Roiha for a research visit in Essen

The EFL team is proud to welcome Dr. Anssi Roiha, lecturer in special needs education from the University of Jyväskylä/Finland, during his research visit from October to November, 2026. The research visit is part of a joint research project with Prof. Dr. Eva Wilden on using visual methods to investigate instructional quality in primary English education. Also, Anssi Roiha gave an inspiring talk on his project 'IDEAL - Individual Differences in Early Foreign Language Learning:
Exploring Children's Perspectives Through Diversity' in the IZfB-lecture series and will be joining various classes and research meetings of the EFL team and beyond.
