EFL Education team attended the conference of the Working Group for Empirical Educational Research (AEPF)

The EFL Education team recently attended the annual section conference Empirical Educational Research (empirische Bildungsforschung) organised by the Working Group for Empirical Research (Arbeitsgruppe für Empirische Pädagogische Forschung or AEPF) and the Commission for Educational Planning, Organisation and Law (Kommission Bildungsplanung, Bildungsorganisation und Bildungsrecht or KBBB) within the German Society for Educational Science (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Erziehungswissenschaft or DGfE). It was held ‘at home’ at the University of Duisburg-Essen from September 22-24, 2025. There, Dr. Joel Guttke reported findings on the validity of a novel, subject-specific teacher scale designed to assess cognitive activation in primary EFL education. Alicia Damitsch presented her ongoing PhD project in which she is reconstructing action-guiding knowledge of English language teachers at vocational schools. We sincerely thank the organizing committee for successfully hosting the conference!
