Postdoctoral Researcher (f/m/d) at Universities

(Salary equivalent to TV-L 13)

Your responsibilities:
The successful candidate should carry out independent research in the field of

East Asian Business or Economic Studies (with a focus on Japan)

It is expected that the candidate teaches in the East Asian Studies programmes at BA- and MA-levels and fulfil some administrative tasks. The job responsibilities allow opportunities for the further development of academic qualifications and skills.

Your profile:

• Completed PhD dissertation/thesis in economics, business administration or area studies with a focus on economics
• Excellent knowledge of the East Asian region or in particular Japan
• Very good knowledge of Japanese, German and English

The concept of East Asian Studies at the University of Duisburg-Essen grounds regional studies research and teaching in the theories and methods of the social and economic sciences. Start of position: as soon as possible

Contract period: 36 months

Working time: 100 % of a full-time position
