Abstract
The Belt and Road Initiative, guided by the principle of extensive consultation, joint contribution, and shared benefits, has become a major platform for international cooperation over the past decade. Notable progress has been made in infrastructure connectivity and trade. Looking ahead, it will focus on high-quality development by implementing eight key actions, including building a multidimensional connectivity network, supporting an open world economy, and promoting green development.

Yuan Li is the Vice Dean of the Institute of International Studies, and Professor of the School of Northeast Asia Studies, Shandong University, Weihai. He was Acting Professor at the IN-EAST in 2014–2020.
