HPC Container Workshop (27 November 2025 in Essen)

We are pleased to announce an in-person Container Workshop at the University of Duisburg-Essen on Thursday, 27 November 2025, organized by eScience, ZIM, University of Duisburg-Essen.

This workshop will provide an introduction to container technologies in High Performance Computing (HPC), with a focus on practical usage on our cluster systems. Topics will include:

1. Basics of containerization for scientific computing
2. Using Singularity/Apptainer on HPC systems
3. Best practices for reproducible research with containers
4. Hands-on exercises with real HPC workloads
