"Changing Academic Careers" Lecture Series

Driven by reforms in the German higher education and science system, academic careers have become increasingly diverse over the last two decades. However, little is known empirically about the consequences of changed conditions for career paths and individuals’ occupational success. The DZHW Research Cluster “Returns on Tertiary Education” will present current research results in their online lecture "Changing Academic Careers" every Monday in June. What makes PhD candidates and postdocs successful within academia? Which factors motivate researchers to leave the academic sector? Participation is possible with no prior registration.
