Information on exams between March, 29th and April, 19th

Dear students,
As you have noticed, the university would like to carry out the exams between March 29 and April 19.
As a faculty, we cannot cancel them, but are bound to do so.

We have received many emails with concerns, as no one can guarantee that no infected student will take part in such an exam.

However, the chairmen of the examination boards decided yesterday that for all these exams, should they really be held, a further date in the summer semester should be offered.

We cannot yet schedule this date, but it will be in the summer semester in order to minimize extensions of the study time.

Please also note the following information about the exams from 29.03 to 19.04:

Students who entered germany from a risk area in the last 14 days before the respective exam date, or who show symptoms of illness, are not allowed to take this exam. Please also note the information provided by the Rectorate: Furthermore, the following exception applies: If you decide not to be able to participate in an already scheduled exam due to illness or due to the current situation, you can withdraw on request at the latest on the day of the exam (before the exam starts). The application can be sent informally by e-mail to the Examinations Office (https://www.uni-due.de/verwaltung/pruefungswesen/studiengaenge.shtml). In this case, no failed attempt will be recorded. This ensures that you will not suffer any disadvantages if you decide that you are not eligible to take the examination under the current circumstances.
