Founded in 2019, the Duisburg-Essen Indian Students Association (DEISA) is the official student-run body representing the Indian student community at the University of Duisburg-Essen. We have a clear dual mission: we act as the vital, trusted bridge between the Indian Embassy and UDE Indian students, while simultaneously hosting vibrant social and cultural events to connect our community tightly in the Ruhr region.

What We Do:
Orientation & Academic Guidance : We host dedicated Orientation Days to break down the technicalities of city registration, student health insurance, course schedules, and part-time jobs in Germany.
Cultural & Social Events : From festive celebrations like Diwali and Holi to local gatherings like our signature "Munch and Meet" food pop-ups and seasonal events, we keep you connected to your roots.
Peer-to-Peer Help Support : Connect instantly with active peers via our community channels to ask questions regarding student housing in Duisburg or Essen, exam tips, and everyday survival hacks.
