This is a link to a pdf-file with a collection of recent scientific articles about the use of fluorescence to study the coral reef and its animals and plants. I will add contineously papers of special interest. On my new Facebook-Page "Coral Reef - recent papers" everybody is welcome to recommend new articles.
Today a lot of sometimes confusing literature about underwater fluorescence exists. Therefore I recommend very few articles only. The WEB page in English will be continously improved and really essential literature will be added in the next future. As introduction one of my articles in review form should be sufficent for the basic knowledge about the life circle of corals and the methods to study the coral reef with fluorescence. A lot of information for the recreatinal diver can be found on the WEB-page nightsea of my colleage Charles Mazel. As professor of the prestigeous MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) he introduced the first underwater fluorescence torches.
In the following article you will find all necessary information about fluorecence at the coral reef. I have written this report after my stay in Marsa Shagra near Marsa Alam in Sept. 2013.

Further articles are written in German, because they were published in German diver journals. Since they contain a lot of informative photos you could have look on them anyhow.
