IKM Audit Request for decentralised IT Services
The information provided in the ICM audit application serves as the basis for evaluating and securing the IT systems used in accordance with the specifications of the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) – in particular on the basis of BSI IT baseline protection – and in compliance with the applicable guidelines of the University of Duisburg-Essen. The aim is to identify potential risks at an early stage and thus ensure both the security of individual decentralised services and the smooth operation of the entire IT infrastructure of the UDE.
The audit procedure helps to assess the protection requirements of individual systems appropriately and to implement suitable technical and organisational measures. This prevents security-related vulnerabilities from jeopardising the university's IT operations as a whole.
The corresponding form must be completed digitally and provided with a qualified electronic signature. In addition to applying for existing decentralised services, new requirements – such as the provision of virtual machines – can also be submitted and reviewed via the test application.
