Julius Tietenberg, M.Sc.
My research interest lies in the user experience of haptic and tactile interactions in extended reality (XR), with a focus on the visual and tactile presentation of mediated social touch. I am currently investigating the illusion of touch and a variety of immersive, social, and emotional user experience outcomes in mediated social touch scenarios in multi-user or social virtual reality (VR).
As part of the publicly and third-party funded research project id2verse, I am also working on the RFID-based integration of spatial tracking data for real objects into XR applications to evaluate the application potential and challenges for the user experience in various scenarios.
