ESCAPE-AN
Anorexia nervosa (AN) poses a major societal challenge due to its high mortality rate and serious health consequences. The Escape-AN project is developing a concept in which virtual reality (VR), in the form of VR escape rooms, is used as a metaphorical symbol for “escaping” from anorexia. The applications aim to specifically address the effects of the disorder and influence them therapeutically.
🇪🇺 Funded under the ERDF/JTF NRW 2021-2027 program. id2verse – Innovative Data Integration into the Metaverse
The aim of the project is to tag objects with RFID (radio frequency identification) in order to uniquely identify them and locate them precisely in three-dimensional space. This technology could enable objects and their information to be seamlessly integrated into virtual environments such as the metaverse by making them tangible through extended reality (XR) technologies. Four test scenarios are planned in the areas of education, retail, medicine, and gaming to demonstrate how this technology can be used in the real world.
