AI in Science Communication: Impacts on Perception and LearningRegistration

The symposium “AI in Science Communication: Impacts on Perception and Learning” will take place on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at the College for Social Sciences and Humanities in Essen. It focuses on current developments, challenges, and future perspectives in science communication. The aim is to bring together researchers from different disciplines and projects, to showcase their work, and to foster scholarly exchange.

The program includes a thematic introduction, a poster gallery, keynote lectures, a panel discussion, and interactive workshops with a particular focus on the opportunities and challenges of artificial intelligence in science communication. A joint dinner will provide space for informal exchange.

The symposium is organized by Dr. Valentina Nachtigal (Ruhr University Bochum) and Dr. Maximilian Krug (University of Duisburg–Essen) and is funded by the PostdocLab Funding at the College for Social Sciences and Humanities (Lindenallee 39, 45127 Essen)
