Duisburg Campus Map

Duisburg is a city in the western part of the Ruhr Area in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Numerous lakes, canals and ports dominating the landscape of the city make it one of the most water-abundant cities in Germany. With the world’s biggest inland harbor and its proximity to Düsseldorf Airport, Duisburg has become an important venue for commerce and steel production as well as for recreational activities. The Ruhrgebiet in Germany is famous for being a center of contrast –  urban architecture meets extensive nature, harbors and waterfronts meet industrial culture, relaxing retreats meet interesting historical monuments. Being right in the heart of this region, Duisburg offers visitors to explore the “city of water and fire” and enjoy flair of the Ruhrgebiet with the relaxed atmosphere of the Lower Rhine area by visiting one of the following attractions and many more!

Venue Duisburg Wide

Landschaftspark Duisburg

An old coal and steel production site that is now an industrial monument, providing lots of interesting and fun activities such as diving, climbing, walking, bike tours and even a high ropes course in a surrounding with rough, industrial charm!

Sechs-Seen-Platte Duisburg

A beautiful and therefore very popular recreation area that covers roughly 283 hectares and a total of six lakes. This natural paradise is the perfect place to explore in your free time while making use of many activities and attraction sites such as a swimming pool, horseback riding trails, sailing and a whole 25 km of walking trails!

Innenhafen Duisburg

The Innenhafen Duisburg provides both an experience of a former industrial area turned into a monument and a popular nightlife district with interesting architecture that combines both historical and modern elements. During the daytime, visit the Garden of Remembrance or choose one of the various museums to explore. The evening is best spent while strolling along the canals or in one of the many restaurants and bars with a view of the waterfront.
