CRC/TRR 270 - Hysteresis design of magnetic materials for efficient energy conversion

General Information:

The Collaborative Research Centre/Transregio (CRC/TRR) 270 involves internationally leading researchers from Technical University of Darmstadt, Universität of Duisburg-Essen, Max Planck Institute for Iron Research and Ernst Ruska-Centre for Microscopy and Spectroscopy with Electrons (ER-C) at Forschungszentrum Jülich. Their common goal is the development of new magnetic materials for efficient energy technologies. This requires a detailed understanding of the structural, magnetic and electronic interactions within the material in order to adjust the local and global properties. The research within CRC/TRR combines modern computational sciences, advanced characterization with new synthesis methods and processing techniques like additive manufactoring and severe plastic deformation.
