Areas of tension in Quality Culture
Introduction
10 years of Duisburg-Essen University! This glorious anniversary gives the Centre for Higher Education Development and Quality Enhancement the great opportunity to host the conference „Quality Cultures - Organisational development between external controll and autonomy. The conference will sample different views on higher education governance and will reflect them on four different panels. A special focus will be on the interfaces between quality management and organisational development.
Programme
In the recent years many universities in many countries have developed new tools and forms of Quality Management and enhancement. The inner relationship between managing quality and therefore enhancing it and developing the institution has been a challenge for university leaders and administrative staff. Ever since its founding in 2003 Duisburg-Essen university’s mission to develop a suitable quality management system has been implemented.
