Who we are

The european landscape of higher education is changing. Institutional Autonomy as as common european goal and changing legal frameworks on the national level have great impact on a contemporary organizational development. Moreover, these developments change the reflections on concepts and functions oft he university as such. As a consequence, management structures of teaching and studies are altered and tailored to the new university. Duisburg-Essen University has shown institutional change attitude and implemented the Centre of Higher Education Development and Quality Enhancement. Our centre offers services to the rectorate, faculties, administration and individual teachers and researchers. We have created counselling practices and tailored services to support individual and institutional development. As a service unit we offer:
