Master Degrees

Students who successfully complete the Masters programme “Urban Culture, Society and Space” (four semesters) will receive an M.A. (Master of Arts).

Students who successfully complete the Masters programme “Sustainable Urban Technologies” (four semesters) will receive an M.Sc. (Master of Science).

The Masters exams in both programmes evaluate students’ skills, familiarity with methodologies, and their depth of knowledge in their particular fields. In addition, the exams test students’ awareness of large-scale concerns in their fields and their abilities to work independently in a scientific fashion and on problem-related research. Upon graduating from the Masters programmes, students are qualified to become doctoral candidates and thus start an academic career. Further details about qualifying for doctoral programmes can be found in the terms and conditions of the specific programmes.
