Practically Oriented Seminar (internal)

The praxis-oriented project is a key component of the Masters programme. In the second semester of the programme, students attend the project seminar (Module 4), in which they work on an interdisciplinary project on a topic central to urban research and practical concerns (i.e. “Healthy City”): in groups of three to five, students will work together to develop approaches and potential solutions to urban problems. To promote interdisciplinary exchange, students from both programmes will be placed together in work groups.

This helps students to question and explore the concept of “the City” as a system in an interdisciplinary fashion while introducing them at an early stage to the importance of cross-disciplinary teamwork.  The practical nature of the project is also meant to introduce students to urban issues and challenges relevant to future professional work.
