Abstract
In current times, female leaders still face obstacles that can be linked with gender stereotypes. This book focuses on the question of how a female leader's styling influences her perceived abilities and how this in turn affects her self-perception and behavior. Modern immersive technologies offer broad possibilities for psychological experiments, which are applied in the context of gender leadership stereotypes. Thereby, the focus will be set on both the question of which styling is most advantageous for women in an application or negotiation situation and also the role of immersive virtual environments for examining gender stereotypes. For this purpose, social and media psychological theories are discussed and empirical studies are presented.
