Workshop "Science as a Vocation: Professional Roles in the Academic World" - bis 20.10. anmelden!

How many roles do you play in your academic life?
Researcher, teacher, writer, project member and manager, communicator – and often all at once? Balancing these responsibilities can be both inspiring and challenging, especially when working within temporary contracts, complex team structures, or unclear hierarchies.
The workshop “Science as a Vocation: Professional Roles in the Academic World” invites all doctoral researchers at Universität Duisburg-Essen to reflect on their professional situation within academia. Inspired by Max Weber’s famous lecture “Science as a Vocation” (1919) and drawing on models from organizational transactional analysis and systemic coaching, participants will explore new perspectives on how to organize and approach their academic work.
