According to: Guillard, R.R.L. and Hargraves, P.E. 1993. Stichochrysis immobilis is a diatom, not a chrysophyte. Phycologia 32: 234-236.

Preparation of Culture Solution

Add the stock solutions as indicated above to 990 ml of filtered seawater and make up to 1 litre. The final pH should be 8.0 - 8.2.

L1 - Modifications

L/2       =   L1 - Medium  :  filtered seawater  =  1 : 1

1/2 L1  =   L1 - Medium  :  dH₂O  =  1 : 1

Growth Conditions

If not otherwise stated, growth temperature is +/- 15^oC; light-dark-regime 14:10 h; light-intensity 5-15 µmol photons /m²/sec.
Media are made up to 1 litre with dH₂O or filtered seawater, as indicated.
