At this year's Career Day at the Philharmonie, we had the opportunity to give numerous interested visitors an exciting insight into the diverse working world at the UDE. Despite the large crowds, we were able to have many good and interesting conversations. Together with our dedicated colleagues from the administration, we succeeded in inspiring many visitors to work at the UDE and sparking their interest in the wide variety of career opportunities at our university.

We had a booth at the Park Festival in Grugapark, which took place as part of the FISU World University Games. Together with many visitors, we were able to talk about 3D printing in a relaxed atmosphere and demonstrate some applications. Our pre-printed sports equipment, such as table tennis bats and airless balls, were tested extensively. The 3D-printed whistles for referees were also well received. Many exciting conversations and curious questions made the booth a real highlight.

We were represented at the University Day at the FISU Sports Campus in the city centre of Duisburg. There we were able to present our work and, above all, 3D printing to interested citizens. We 3D-printed a few sports equipment items for the World University Games, so people could try out everything from table tennis bats to so-called airless balls. The Science Slam in the evening rounded off the day nicely. We would like to thank everyone involved, especially the organizers.

Under this year's motto of sustainability, we demonstrated how sustainable 3D printing can be at our summer party. As a practical example, we used our own recycled filament on the printer. We were able to get many students, doctoral candidates, and employees excited about 3D printing and got in touch with some people interested in starting their own businesses. Together with Place Beyond Bytes and GUIDE, interested parties were able to learn more about sustainability in a playful way.
