Rehbock-Group

Research

Our interdisciplinary and diverse research group focuses on micro- and nanoparticles generated or processed by laser synthesis in liquids, bridging fundamental research and real-world applications

Research fields:

  • Biomedical applications of nanomaterials with a focus on radio enhancers for proton therapy
  • Complex solid solution/high entropy alloy nanoparticles
  • Fluorescent noble metal nanoclusters
  • Processing of organic microparticles (drugs, nutraceuticals, food)
  • Hard ceramic submicrometer spheres as lubricants

Nanoparticles, Lasers and beyond – discover our possibilities

Are you from industry, academia,  or do you simply want to learn more about what we can do?

Either way, you've come to the right place!
We offer solutions along the entire process chain with our customized nanoparticles made by laser processing—covering hard ceramics, complex multi-component alloys, and organic particles—we are interested in the fundamentals of the synthesis and characteristics of these materials, but we also work on their transfer towards real-world processes and applications.
We are open to exciting collaborations and projects, so feel free to contact us directly!

Positions

We can only improve as a team – which is why we are always happy to welcome committed students!
Students of chemistry, water science, or nanoengineering are always welcome here, whether they are working on their bachelor's thesis, specialization module, analytics internship, or master's thesis. We are also happy to accept guest researchers from all over the world to take part in our research.
If a project particularly appeals to you, please contact the relevant person directly. Any other questions can be answered via email.

We would like to thank our partners and funders.
