Gender equality impulses in the SGB II target management system

The aim of the research project is to develop recommendations how to pursue gender equality within the system of basic income support. The basis for the elaboration of the recommendations is an analysis of factors that have an impact on equality-relevant administrative actions in the job centers.

While previous analyses of gender-related differences in labour market outcomes have concentrated particularly on labour market structures and the individual conditions of the unemployed, this research project is primarily concerned with the effects that the administrative actions of job centers and other stakeholders have on equality outcomes.

The research project uses a "mixed methods" design in which qualitative and quantitative research steps complement each other.
