Anneliese Maier Research Award by Alexander von Humboldt Foundation for Sylvia Walby (Royal Holloway, University of London). The award was made based on the nomination submitted by Karen Shire. She is Sylvia Walby’s host, together with the Institute of Sociology (IfS) and the Essen College for Gender Research (EKfG). In 2022 the period of the award was extended through March 2025. In 2024 a book manuscript entitled Trafficking Chains: Modern Slavery in Society was published open-access with Bristol University Press (https://bristoluniversitypress.co.uk/trafficking-chains ).
