Description

Anorexia nervosa is an eating disorder with a high mortality rate, long-term health consequences, and a high risk of relapse, which often occurs in adolescents. In cooperation with the Universitätsklinikum Essen and with the involvement of our target group (i.e., patients, relatives, and therapists), this research project is dedicated to the design and development of a VR application as a supportive tool in therapy. The aim of the project is to produce a finished demonstrator that can be tested in a final evaluation at a qualitative level.

This Forschungsprojekt will give credits for either, psychology or computer science.

Requirements

This seminar is aimed at students in the Komedia and/or MAI masters program. If you are interested in participating in the Forschungsprojekt, please send a request by e-mail (stating your field of study and your matriculation number) to Marius Grießhammer (marius.griesshammer@uni-due.de). If you study Komedia and wish to get credits for the psychology Forschungsprojekt, please register in the Forschungsprojekt-Course and participate in the Forschungsprojektwahl. This is not yet a binding application. Further details about the project will be presented at the kick-off meeting.
