By car to building MA:

Take exit Duisburg-Kaiserberg within the freeway interchange Kaiserberg (A3/A40). At the lights take a left turn towards "Zoo/Universität". Follow the road. After crossing a bridge it leads you to the University parking lot.

The "M-Buildings" are located at the north-western corner of the parking lot. Pass the buildings on the right side (with residential houses on your right on the other side of the fence). At the end of the lane take the entrance MB to your left.

By car to NETZ:
Take exit Duisburg-Kaiserberg within the freeway interchange Kaiserberg (A3/A40). At the lights take a left turn towards "Zoo/Universität". Follow the road. After a few hundred meters you will see the silver-gray striped NanoEnergietechnikZentrum with the distinctive lettering "NETZ". In front of the building the road makes a sharp left turn. To your left you see a large parking lot. The entrance to the visitor parking lot is the first driveway AFTER the sharp left turn, for deliveries please use the entrance IN the sharp left turn (in both cases ring the bell at the barrier).

By public transport:

• Airport Düsseldorf (DUS)

After arrival, follow the signs to „DB via skytrain". Ticket vending machines are at the train station. Choose "Duisburg Hauptbahnhof" as your destination. The ticket "Tariff B" also covers the ongoing trip by subway to the University. All trains leaving the station in northern direction (opposite direction than Düsseldorf) will stop in Duisburg. The trains have different travel times: S1 ~20 min, RB ~10 min, RE, IC and ICE ~8 min (non stop). IC and ICE cost extra even if they do not save time compared to RE. A taxi from the airport to the University will cost you ~35€.

• Airport Köln-Bonn (CGN)

by train to Duisburg central station. Travel time 55 -70 min.

• Airport Frankfurt (FRA)

by train to Duisburg central station. Travel time ~90 min with the fastest trains (Be careful: there are much slower options!)

• Airport Weeze

• Airport Shuttle Express to Duisburg central station

Take a train to Duisburg Central Station (Duisburg Hauptbahnhof). Walk on the platform to its northern end (towards the head of the train if you come via Düsseldorf). There is a second exit that leads directly to the subway station. Take the U-901 on track 3 (direction "Mülheim" or "Zoo/Universität"). Exit at the third stop "Zoo/Universität". The university is on your right behind the trees. Take the entrance MA into the first building.

By Taxi to building MA:

Ask to get dropped off at the corner Mülheimer Straße/Lotharstraße. Follow the signs to Buildung MA.

By Taxi to NETZ:
Ask to get dropped off at Carl-Benz-Straße 199. You will see the silver-gray striped NanoEnergieTechnikZentrum with the distinctive lettering "NETZ".
