Research
Our reseach is concerned with all aspects of finite element methods and their application to physical problems. Particularly we work on the development of reconstruction-based a posteriori error estimators and mixed finite element methods and their analysis. Currently we focus our attention on applications in solid mechanics.
Currently funded projects:
- Project "Approximation and Reconstruction of Stresses in the Deformed Configuration for Hyperelastic Material Models" (PIs: Bertrand/Starke) within the 2nd phase of the DFG priority programme SPP 1748 (2018 - 2021)
- Project "Stress-based methods for variational inequalities in solid mechanics" within the 2nd phase of the DFG priority programme SPP 1962 (2020 - 2023)
