Networks

The Research Data Services of the University of Duisburg-Essen are connected with numerous initiatives and working groups at the university, in NRW, and across Germany.
Through active collaboration we exchange ideas, pass on our experiences, and take away new ideas for our services.

State Initiative for Research Data Management – fdm.nrw
Located here at UDE, the state initiative fdm.nrw supports the establishment and expansion of RDM in NRW in accordance with the state concept. To this end, the initiative connects universities in NRW, provides them with information on current developments in RDM, and supports cross-location collaborations.

State Initiative openaccess.nrw
The state initiative openacces.nrw supports the promotion of Open Access. To that end, it connects universities in NRW, supports them in establishing open access services, and develops open access infrastructure. UDE acts as the lead of the consortium.

DINI/nestor-AG Forschungsdaten
The research data working group of the Deutsche Initiative für Netzwerkinformation (DINI) coordinates activities related to RDM to promote the exchange of ideas and experiences across disciplines and institutions.

EuDaNOS
The European Data Steward Network for Open Science is an international network of the research data services of the three UA Ruhr universities, the Erasmus University Rotterdam, and the University of Oulu. We meet anually to discuss current developments in RDM and Open Science.
