General and Theoretical Electrical Engineering

Back to Theory: The Laboratory for General and Theoretical Electrical Engineering

Welcome to the Laboratory for General and Theoretical Electrical Engineering (ATE). With our main research areas we cover a wide frequency range from a few Hz up to THz. The common ground is always the connection between theory and practice. New applications and innovations always result from the physical understanding and the associated theories. In turn, new insights follow from the associated measurements of practical realizations, which can be used to further improve the theoretical representation.

A solid understanding of the theory of electrical engineering and electromagnetic fields in particular is therefore essential for the development of new technologies and applications. As the Laboratory for General and Theoretical Electrical Engineering, we are committed to advancing this understanding and applying our results to practical applications. We invite you to join us on this journey and look forward to working with you.
