Research project “Working in times of crisis”

Brief description

The current crisis caused by the coronavirus fundamentally affects the working life and psychological well-being of workers. In many professions, such as nursing and medical care, as well as work at the supermarket, the work loads are increasing drastically. In other professions, daily work routines have to be reorganized in the home office while simultaneously taking care of children.

Our research project intends to investigate these radical changes and their effects on workers over time. The results will be used to develop recommendations for companies and employees on how to deal with situations of crisis.

Procedure

Ablauf

With an initial survey, demographics and information about working conditions, psychological well-being, as well as the perceived changes due to the corona crisis are collected.

Thereafter, a much shorter version of the questionnaire will be send out weekly, with which we want to accompany the participants during the time of crisis.

Results

ErgebnisPreliminary results and statistics are available here. These will be continously updated.

These include general information about the sample composition, as well as charts displaying changes in well-being over time.

Additionally we intend to provide participants with their historic data while we progress through these times of crisis.

FAQ

Why is my e-mail address required for the survey?

We need your e-mail address to send you the invitations for the follow-up surveys. Your e-mail address will be used exclusively for this survey and will not be passed on to third parties.

I have missed a survey, does it make sense to continue participation?

Yes, it always makes sense to continue. Larger intervals between your answers are regrettable, but they are no reason to miss out on further responses. Please always try to complete the questionnaires as soon as possible during the week after you received the invitation.

My survey was interrupted with an error message, what can I do?

If your survey is interrupted for whatever reason, you can simply continue the survey using the link from the e-mail. Your previously submitted responses have been saved.
