- From 24.06.2013 to 19.07.2013 Dr. Beatrix Vincze (Chair for History of Education - Eötvös-Lóránd-University in Budapest) will be a guest at the Department for International Herbartianism Research. Her stay of research will belong to a DAAD-support.

- From 20.03.2013 to 22.03.2013 the 7th International and Interdisciplinary Conference of the International Herbart Society took place at the University of Duisburg-Essen. Topical focus was on “Native terms and development of disciplines”.

- From 15.10.2011 to 14.12.2011 Dr. Oleg Zayakin from the University Bjisk (Russia) will be a guest at the chair for General Didactics. His stay of research will belong to a DAAD-support. Topical focus of research will be actual aspects and perspectives of development of teacher-education in Germany and Russia.

- The reworked and actualised version of the alphabetical bibliography of pedagogical Herbartianism is now online for using as research-tool. Status: 07.09.2011

- From 06.08.2011 to 08.08.2011 the 6th International and Interdisciplinary Conference of the International Herbart Society took place at the University Kardinal-Stefan-Wyszynski in Warsaw (Poland).

- A cooperation between the faculty of pedagogy of the Samuel Tessedin University of Szeged (Hungary) and the Department for International Herbartianism Research/chair for General Didactics is in preparation.

- From 28.06.2010 to 02.07.2010 Krisztina Kovacs (doctoral candidate of the faculty of pedagogy of the S.T. University in Szeged, Hungary) researches again at the Department for International Herbartianism Research and offers five hours of teaching.

- From 01.10.2009 to 30.10.2009 Krisztina Kovacs (doctoral candidate of the pedagogical faculty of the S. T. University in Szeged, Hungary) is a guest at the Department for International Herbartianism Research. Her stay of research is part of a DAAD-scholarship.

- From 09.03.2009 to 11.03.2009 the 5th meeting of the International Herbart Society took place at the Catholic University of Eichstaett. Topical focus was on “Herbarts aesthetics”.
