Since the start of the second Trump administration the level of uncertainty about the future of economic and security relations between the US and the countries of East Asia has been increasing. In this roundtable discussion our country specialists at AREA (Alliance for Research on East Asia) Ruhr and external experts analyze East Asian reactions to Trump’s recent trade and foreign policies and explain how current dynamics may play out in bilateral, regional and extra-regional contexts.
