Monika Arnoštová presented at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Soziologie Kongress

and participated in the workshop “Theory in Action” organised by the BMBF-funded project “Worldmaking from a Global Perspective: A Dialogue with China”

On Sep. 23, 2025, Dr. Monika Arnoštová together with Dr. Ryanne Flock (Universität Würzburg) and Dr. Marius Meinhof (TU Dresden), co-organised an Ad-Hoc group panel on “Transitions in China” at the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Soziologie (DGS) Kongress in Duisburg campus. She delivered a presentation on the topic On “lying flat” and “let it rot”: An interview analysis of the new work ethic of young urbanites in neoliberal China.
