Since 2000 Birgitta Berger has been teaching English at Montessori schools in the Munich area, working with all age groups from beginning learners in grade one to exam preparation in grades nine and ten. She has developed a Montessori-based concept of language teaching within mixed-age and mixed-ability groups, published in 2016. Since 2007 Birgitta has been providing training for Montessori language teachers, both in-service and through Montessori training academies. In developing her own teaching and professional training Birgitta’s focus has shifted continuously towards encouraging and strengthening the capabilities of the indivudual learner in a supportive environment.
