Conference Venue

On Thursday, September 11, 2025, at 8:00 a.m., we will open the doors of MediaPsych 2025 in the LX Building at the University of Duisburg-Essen (Duisburg Campus).

Please make sure to arrive in time on Thursday to pick up your name badge at the registration desk (LX foyer). The Welcome Session will start at 8:20 a.m., followed by the first academic session at 8:45 a.m. Since many participants will be registering at the same time, we kindly ask you to plan accordingly.

The conference will take place in both the LX and LK buildings on the main Duisburg campus (only a 2-minute walk apart, with clear signage).

How to get there:

  • Walking: 1.8 km from "Duisburg Hbf" (Duisburg Central Station), about 25 minutes.

  • By public transport: From Duisburg Central Station, take bus lines 920 or 933 (direction Duisburg Uni Nord), ride about 10 minutes, and get off at “Duisburg Universität.” From there, the LX Building is signposted

Get Together at Finkenkrug

We will kick off MediaPsych with an informal Get Together at Finkenkrug, a beloved student pub in Duisburg on Sept 10, 2025 from 07:00 p.m on (of course, you can get there earlier or later...).

How to get there:

  • Walking: 1.5 km from Duisburg Central Station (15–20 minutes).

  • By bus: From Duisburg Hbf, take bus 923 (direction Duisburg Sportpark), ride 7 minutes, get off at “Duisburg Holteistraße.”

  • By tram: From Duisburg Hbf, take tram 901 (direction Mülheim Hbf), get off at “Duisburg Lutherplatz,” then walk about 8 minutes. 

Conference Dinner at Webster Brauhaus

The doors for the conference dinner will open at Webster on Sept 11, 2025 at 06:30 p.m., the buffet (vegetarian, with vegan options) will start at 07:00 p.m.

  • By bus: From Duisburg Hbf, take buses 926, 928, 929, 933, ride 7 minutes, get off at “Duisburg Friedrich-Wilhelm-Platz.”

  • By tram: From Duisburg Hbf, take tram 901 (direction DU-Obermarxloh Schleife), get off at “Duisburg Rathaus,” then walk about 8 minutes.
