INF Projects

Funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG), Collaborative Research Centers / Transregios are often flagship research projects that guide the way for new breakthroughs – also regarding the development of infrastructures for research data management (RDM).
At UDE, the Research Data Services support RDM in CRCs/TRRs in so-called INF projects – developing, providing and maintaining technological infrastructure, establishing policies, and offering training and consulting.
INF projects directed by RDS

CRC/TRR 196 MARIE
Mobile Material Characterization and Localization by Electromagnetic Sensing
CRC MARIE researches mobile material detectors that can determine and assign the properties of any object.

CRC/TRR 296 LOCOTACT
Local Control of Thyroid Hormone Action
CRC LOCOTACT investigates the local control of thyroid hormones to identify mechanisms.

Terahertz.NRW Terahertz.NRW
Network for Excellent Terahertz Research
Terahertz.NRW connects research institutions, universities and companies in order to advance THz technologies. The network is integrated into several projects, including CRC MARIE.

CRC 1430 Molecular Mechanisms on Cell State Transitions
The CRC investigates fundamental molecular mechanisms underlying the regulation of cell proliferation.
INF projects with RDS cooperation

CRC 1439 RESIST
Degradation and recovery of stream ecosystems under multiple stressors
The CRC investigates the effects of stressors such as temperature rise, salinization and hydromorphological degradation on the components of the food network in rivers (from viruses to fish).

CRC/TRR 270 HoMMage
Hysteresis design of magnetic materials for efficient energy conversion
CRC/TRR HoMMage pursues the development of new magnetic materials for efficient energy technologies.

CRC/TRR 289 Treatment Expectation
Can imaging techniques help to predict the effect of treatment expectations on therapeutic outcome?
In CRC Treatment Expectation, an interdisciplinary team investigates the effect of patients' expectations on the effectiveness of medical treatment.
Pilot Project: Repository Dataverse

Dataverse is a software for data repositories. It enables research data to be stored, found and shared within a closed group of researchers (e.g. a CRC) or worldwide.
As part of the INF projects, the RDS set up Dataverse instances that are adapted to the specific needs of the respective CRC/TRR.
The requirements of the various CRCs/TRRs differ in particular in subject-specific metadata schemas, organizational structures and access management.
