The 3rd Symposium on Didactics for Technology will take place at the Unesco World Heritage site "Zeche Zollverein" aka the “world´s most beautiful coal mine”. Essen’s landmark and one of the most well-known places in the Ruhr Area offers numerous conference rooms. One of them is the business and foundation centre ZukunftsZentrumZollverein (TripleZ), which is located in Essen-Katernberg on the site of mine 4/5/11. The conference will take place in the TripleZ.

Parking is available for those who arrive by car. Alternatively, the location can easily be reached by public transport. The proximity to both Essen and Gelsenkirchen city centre allows for smooth arrival:

The tram line 107 departs from Essen main station (underground station) every 20 minutes and takes you directly to the stop "Triple Z" in about 20 minutes. From Essen main station to Triple Z and from Triple Z to Essen main station the trams depart at :07, :27, :47 past the hour from platform 1.

From Gelsenkirchen the tram line 107 also departs every 20 minutes. The drive takes about 12 minutes. From Gelsenkirchen main station to Triple Z the trams depart at :15, :35, :55 past the hour from platform 10, and from Triple Z to Gelsenkirchen main station at :10, :30, :50 past the hour from platform 2.
