Scientific Committee

Background

An important institution within EffizienzCluster LogistikRuhr, the Scientific Committee held its constitutional meeting on 23 November 2010 in Mülheim an der Ruhr in which its future activities were determined. The Scientific Committee is made up of recognised personalities and researchers from well-reputed institutions and is responsible for the scientific accompaniment ot EffizienzCluster LogistikRuhr's strategy. "Among its central tasks is the occupation of a visionary role in the development of new project ideas as well as the active support and promotion of sustainability for the whole excellence-cluster", says Prof. Dr. Uwe Clausen, newly elected chairman of the Scientific Committee and head of Transport Logistics at the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics (IML).
