REFORM ("REstoring rivers FOR effective catchment Management") is a four year, large scale integrated project funded under the European Union Seventh Framework Programme (GRANT No. 282656). It targets the development of guidance and tools to improve the success of river restoration measures and to make river restoration and mitigation measures more cost-effective and to support the 2nd and future River Basin Management Plans (RMBPs) for the WFD.

The project integrates the expertise of 25 research institutions and universities from 14 European countries, including the aquatic ecology group of Prof. Dr. Daniel Hering at the University of Duisburg-Essen. The project is coordinated by Deltares (Netherlands).
