M. Sc. Environmental Toxicology (EnviTox)

Scholarships

Currently, EnviTox is part of two scholarship programs for Russian and Brazilian students.

  • Eranet-Mundus: Euro-Russian Academic Network-Mundus
The Faculty of Biology is partner of the Eranet-Mundus project, which supports Russian students to study in western Europe and german students to study in Russia.
  • Ciencias sem fronteiras
This is a program sponsored by the German academic exchange service. Brazilian undergraduates are welcome to apply and become an EnviTox student.

We are currently working on extending the scholarship opportunities. For other countries no special scholarships are available for EnviTox students. But there are several resources where you can find information about available scholarships of different institutions:

  • UDE scholarship
In cooperation with the industry the governments of North Rhine Westphalia and Germany offer scholarships for students at the University Duisburg-Essen. All enrolled students are free to apply via an internet platform which is opened in July.
  • German academic exchange service
Supports German students which plan an study abroad and foreign students which would like to study in Germany. For example EnviTox. They have a good scholarship database, listing programmes in order to your individual position for Germans and foreigners .
  • For German students there exist eleven special foundations  which support students in Bachelor's, Master's and PhD programmes.

Tuition fee

The university of Duisburg-Essen does not charge any tuition fee for german or foreign students. However, every enrolled student has to pay a social- and student fee of approximately 250 Euro per term. The fee includes a bus and train ticket for the region, a social fee for the Studentenwerk (organisation providing social, financial and cultural support services to students in Germany), and a fee for the ASTA (the Students' Union).
