Gender Research Forum

The interdisciplinary public lecture series "Gender Research Forum" presents an overview of the recent research interests and plans of various faculties as well as their contribution to the academic discussion and its development in the gender research.

The program brings together academics of the University of Duisburg-Essen from both campuses as well as the University Hospital. The scope of the topics allows an insight in the current problems and questions of the gender research and invites the audience from different fields to an interdisciplinary dialogue.

The lectures are held in German.

Current Programme

Cooperation within the UA Ruhr framework

Within the framework of the University Alliance Ruhr between Ruhr-Universität Bochum, Technische Universität Dortmund and Universität Duisburg-Essen, the ECfG is striving for closer cooperation in gender research.

Selected lecture series therefore involve lecturers from the three partner universities in as equal a proportion as possible and show the broad interdisciplinary spectrum within which "gender" is used as a category of scientific analysis at the universities of the University Alliance Ruhr - whether in the humanities or social sciences, media studies or medicine.
