Arrival by car

Coming from north, west or east Highway A3/A40, Exit Duisburg-Kaiserberg, Direction Duisburg-Innenstadt turn left after about 1 km into the street Bismarckstr., turn right after the 2nd traffic light into the street Oststr., the entrance is behind the high-rise building (Oststr. 99) beside the ship propeller.
Coming from the south Highway A3, Exit Duisburg-Wedau, Direction "Duisburg-Innenstadt" using Koloniestr., Sternbuschweg,  Kammerstr., Bismarckstr. in die Oststr.
parking at the  UDE: Please contact your contact person. She/he will open the gate for you.
Hint for  navigation  system: There a more than just one Bismarckstr. or Oststr., please be sure to take the one in Neudorf-Nord (PLZ 47057).

Arrival by train

The B zone of the campus in Duisburg is about 10 minutes away from the main station. Duisburg has ICE-connections to/from Frankfurt/München/Basel, Hannover/Berlin und Amsterdam.

  • Exit the main station by the eastern exit (Ostausgang, Neudorf/Duissern bzw. Klöckner)
  • Walk left into the street Neudorfer Str. until you reach the 1st traffic lights.
  • Turn right into the street Klöcknerstr. and take the way over the marketplace (Ludgeriplatz). Stay on the right side of the church and take the Oststr. for about 200 m.
  • The B zone of the university is on the left side.
  • The buildings BD (high voltage laboratory) and BE (offices) are located in the midst of the parking lot.

Arrival by plane

The campus Duisburg is about 15 km away from the Düsseldorf Airport and can be reached by train
("Regionalexpress" or "S-Bahn").

  • Use the "SkyTrain" to get from the terminal to the train station Fernbahnhof Düsseldorf-Flughafen (DB)
  • From there take one of the trains RE1,2,3,5,6,11,19 in the direction of Duisburg/Arnheim/Dortmund/Hamm/Kassel/Münster (8 min) or S1 Richtung in the direction Duisburg/Essen/Dortmund (15 min) untill the station "Duisburg-Hauptbahnhof" (tickets: VRR-Ticket price-level B).   • From there you can walk to the UDE (see Arrival by train)
