Interactive Systems at the University of Duisburg-Essen

As the Chair of Interactive Systems, we want to make a contribution to the human-centered design of interactive technologies. We investigate the impact of technology in practice and help shape the future of technological support for people. To this purpose, we base our research on a practice-oriented empirical approach that combines different methods and disciplinary backgrounds. We are currently working on technologies such as augmented reality, robots and artificial intelligence.

Searching for Participants!

For our ongoing studies at the Interactive Systems Chair, we are continuously seeking participants.

Here's what you can expect:

  • Discovering and exploring new technologies (e.g., robots, AR, VR)
  • Gaining insights into innovative research projects and scientific methods
  • Opportunity for compensation (12€/hour) or accrual of participant hours

Research: Working and leraning with Augmented Reality

Augmented Reality connects virtual and real worlds. In our AR laboratory and in various projects, we investigate ways to support individual and cooperative work and learning through augmented reality.

About Cooperation and learning in AR

Digitalization in practice: Healthcare, Crafts, Trade, Production

In our application and practical projects, we develop solutions to support work and learning together with their future users and test them with them.
