Who can apply?

The WGS is open for all doctoral and postdoctoral researchers whose research project is located in water research.

Every doctoral researcher and postdoc interested in participating in the Water Graduate School (WGS) must apply for becoming a member of the WGS. Annual deadlines for applications, which must be submitted to the management team, are January 1st, April 1st, July 1st or October 1st. The final decision of each application will be sent to the applicant by the 15th of the corresponding month.

If you want to apply for the WGS as an doctoral or postdoctoral researcher please contact Dr. Vanessa Kramer in order to get all required forms and further information.

Doctoral researchers

Doctoral researchers who want to apply for the WGS must fulfill the following requirements:

  • The project of the applying doctoral researcher has a water-related research focus (demonstrated by a short project description).

It is also highly recommended to learn German as some workshops etc. will also be offered in German. Courses for learning both languages will be offered by the WGS.
