Excel-Water - Egyptian-German Academic Excellence in Water Treatment and Desalination

DAAD university cooperation

Since January 2021, the cooperation project Excel-Water is funded by the DAAD within the program "Subject-related partnerships with universities in developing countries". Excel-Water stands for Egyptian-German Academic Excellence in Water Treatment and Desalination. Excel-Water brings together the University of Duisburg-Essen (UDE) from the German side and the Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST), Fayoum University (FU), Holding company for water and wastewater (HCWW) and EvoSmart Co. from the Egyptian side.

At the end of the project, the modernization of Egypt's education program will be achieved, human resource and infrastructure capacity building, improved employability is expected, close networking at personal level and strengthening of bilateral institutional partnership that will pave the way for a lasting cooperation.
