The main part of the WGS is the research and training program. The research program is mainly located at the individual institutions of the corresponding doctoral researcher and includes the individual work on the projects but also individually designed scientific qualifications, publications, visiting (inter-)national conferences and more. The overarching training program for all early career researchers within the WGS, consists of both mandatory (including workshops such as "Good Scientific Practice" or "Dealing with Gender-Specific Issues"), voluntary and individually adapted offers and workshops but also seminars, colloquia, summer schools, outreach activities and more. A detailed list of the offered workshops can be found  here.

These programs are complemented by the already existing offers of GC-Plus, the RRS and the RAR. This bundled and structured program ensures adequate career development after a professionally qualifying degree up to the doctorate, and beyond in the postdoc phase
